Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nursing Assistant (NA), you will perform essential direct patient care, working under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse, often while actively pursuing your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
Every day you will provide comprehensive patient care, including bathing, oral care, feeding, ambulation, and monitoring vital signs. You will also manage other duties such as inventory, documentation, clerical tasks, dietary assistance, light housekeeping, and computer input, directly supporting the nursing unit's operational needs.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong capability for basic patient care, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in all tasks, and effectively collaborate within the nursing team to ensure optimal patient well-being and a supportive care environment, showcasing dedication to advancing your healthcare career.
What you'll do...
Provides basic nursing care within the Nursing Assistant's scope of practice that includes actions that meet psychological and physical needs of patients, such as, positioning, lifting and turning patients; applying/utilizing special equipment; monitoring skin condition; assisting in toileting and ambulating patients.
Performs basic patient care responsibilities considering the needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age, including pediatric, geriatric and general population.
Answer patients' call lights, anticipates their needs and makes rounds to assigned patients. Responds to patient in emergency or physically distressful condition.
Follows established infection control practices.
Takes and records temperatures, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, height, weight, intake and output.
Assist in admission, transfer, and discharge of patient. Transports patients to and from various departments, as required.
Job Requirements
Required
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) issued by the state of North Dakota (ND), within six (6) months of start date.
Preferred
High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Pay Range
$16.50 - $23.30 /hour
