We work with our government customers in defense and civilian agencies to identify new technologies.

The Opportunity The FSO will administer all aspects of the Industrial Security Program to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Duties include working closely with various government agencies and program offices to submit collateral and special access nominations, process personnel paperwork, administer indoctrinations and debriefings, and conduct security education and training.

Key Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

Ensure Compliance with Security Regulations:

Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to facility security, including all aspects of 32 C.F.R. part 117, Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, Department of State (DoS) regulations, and other relevant standards for assigned facility.

Develop and Implement Security Procedures:

Establish and enforce security protocols to protect personnel, assets, and sensitive information. Ensure that all procedures are communicated and followed by staff.

Manage Access Control:

Oversee access control systems, including badge issuance, visitor logs, and surveillance, to ensure only authorized personnel access the facility.

Process Security Clearances:

Administer and track security clearance applications for employees, contractors, and visitors. Coordinate with appropriate government agencies for clearance processing and investigations.

Security Training and Awareness:

Provide ongoing security training to all employees on topics such as security awareness, emergency procedures, and confidentiality protocols.

Coordinate Emergency Preparedness and Response:

Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans for the facility, including evacuation plans, fire safety procedures, and response to potential threats.

Monitor Security Systems:

Monitor security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and intrusion detection systems, ensuring they are operational and responding to any security breaches or incidents.

Investigate Security Incidents:

Conduct investigations of security incidents or breaches, document findings, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Coordinate with Law Enforcement and Regulatory Agencies:

Serve as the main point of contact between the facility and law enforcement or regulatory bodies in the event of a security issue or audit.

Maintain Security Documentation:

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to security measures, incidents, training, and compliance audits.

Perform Risk Assessments:

Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of the facility to identify potential security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Collaborate with Other Departments:

Work closely with HR, IT, and other departments to integrate security measures and ensure smooth operations across the facility.

Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Must have active Top Secret or higher Security clearance with the ability to obtain SCI eligibility.

Required Skills, Experience and Abilities

5+ years of FSO experience

Ability to respond to all after-hours alarms

5+ years experience with classified computer systems, and demonstrate trustworthiness and responsible behavior

Experience and ability to effectively use NBIS, NISS, and DISS.

Must have previous industrial security experience, and an in-depth knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117.

Effective communicator; detailed, team player with experience in handling sensitive and confidential personal and business matters with discretion.

Thorough knowledge of the government clearance process.

Thorough knowledge of and experience with safeguarding classified materials.

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of FSO experience

5+ years managing COMSEC

Experience obtaining an FCL for a new facility.

Ability to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion (e.g., transporting laptop, presentation materials, or small equipment).

Ability to travel up to 5% of the time

Professional office environment with standard office equipment (computers, phones, printers).

Frequent interaction with clients, executives, and government officials in both in-person and virtual settings.

Occasional travel to customer sites, government facilities, and industry events.

Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring adaptability and responsiveness.

Work may occasionally be performed in secure government facilities, requiring adherence to security protocols.
