Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Senior Field Marketing Specialist to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies specifically targeting the Public Sector (State and Local Government) market. This role is crucial for driving pipeline growth, increasing brand awareness, and enabling sales success within this unique and highly regulated vertical. The ideal candidate is a proactive and strategic individual who can navigate the complexities of government contracting and build trust with the Oracle North America tech and apps sales organizations through tailored and compliant marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in B2B field marketing, with significant experience in marketing to the Public Sector or a regulated industry.
Proven track record of success in driving demand generation, pipeline growth, and sales enablement.
Strong understanding of public sector buying cycles, compliance requirements, and key decision-makers.
Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product, and corporate marketing.
Data-driven approach to marketing, with experience tracking KPIs and reporting on campaign performance.
Responsibilities
Meets with Sales leaders to create strategic marketing plan in Sales support of pipeline and revenue objectives. Participant in regular pipeline and forecast review meetings. Develops and implements tactical marketing programs in conjunction with Sales, Industry Advisory Services, Partner Marketing, Product Marketing, and external influencers such as user groups and industry trade associations. Provides onsite execution support for marketing programs. Tracks lead flow to ensure the appropriate Sales channels are following up with event attendees and campaign responders in a timely manner. Creates and manages program budget, measures ROI through metrics analysis and reporting. Communicates program status, action items, and deliverables across Field Marketing team and Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement integrated field marketing plans aligned with sales objectives and corporate marketing strategies for the public sector.
Demand Generation: Design and execute multi-channel campaigns (e.g., events, webinars, digital programs, targeted ABM) to generate qualified leads and accelerate pipeline.
Event Management: Plan, manage, and execute participation in key industry trade shows, conferences, regional events, and executive briefings relevant to public sector audiences.
Sales Partnership & Enablement: Act as the primary marketing liaison for the public sector sales team, understanding their needs, providing relevant collateral and tools, and ensuring seamless lead handoff and follow-up.
Content Collaboration: Identify content gaps and collaborate with industry advisory teams to curate public-sector-specific materials (e.g., case studies, white papers, solution briefs, capabilities statements).
Budget & ROI: Manage the public sector marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and tracking ROI for all activities.
Market Insights: Maintain a deep understanding of public sector trends, procurement processes, regulations (e.g., FAR), and challenges to inform marketing strategies and messaging.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
