The Business Operations team helps guide and articulate technology strategy and research, and is responsible for driving the day-to-day operation of the Product & Technology organization, including: project and portfolio management and tracking; organization-level capital, space, and resource management and allocation; process management; technical incident management; and our administrative and workplace experience support team.
The Business Operations organization within Disney Entertainment & ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our FinOps team , supporting all consumption-based technology spend across cloud infrastructure, SaaS platforms, data platforms, CDN, and other variable usage services.
This role sits at the intersection of finance, engineering, product, and operations , and is responsible for turning complex consumption, usage, and vendor data into clear insights that inform executive decision-making, financial planning, and technology strategy. You will partner closely with engineering leaders, finance, sourcing, and platform teams to improve cost visibility, forecasting accuracy, and operational rigor across Disney's global technology footprint.
What You'll Do
Serve as a key analytical partner to engineering, product, finance, and operations teams across all consumption-based spend categories
Collect, normalize, analyze, and present usage, cost, and vendor data to support forecasting, budgeting, and optimization efforts
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and executive-ready materials that provide transparency into spend drivers, trends, and risks
Support vendor and contract management efforts by analyzing run-rate, commitments, utilization, and financial performance against plan
Partner with FinOps leadership to identify opportunities for efficiency, optimization, and improved financial governance
Help define and improve FinOps processes, metrics, and operating rhythms across cloud, SaaS, data, and platform teams
Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable insights
Manage multiple, time-sensitive workstreams in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and prioritization under pressure
Proactively identify gaps, risks, or variances in operating plans and escalate with data-backed recommendations
Navigate ambiguity with ownership and accountability, driving work to resolution and delivery
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, FinOps, technology operations, or a related role
Experience working with consumption-based cost models , such as cloud infrastructure, SaaS, data platforms, or CDN
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data to support assumptions, decisions, and outcomes
Demonstrated experience working in highly cross-functional environments with engineering, finance, and operations teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing concise, executive-level documents and presentations
Comfort working with incomplete information and evolving requirements in a deadline-driven environment
Experience working with distributed and global teams is a plus
Familiarity with FinOps concepts, cloud billing data, or cost management tooling is a plus

This role plays a critical part in enabling Disney's technology teams to scale responsibly by improving cost transparency, financial discipline, and decision-making across some of the company's largest and fastest-growing spend areas.
The hiring range for this position in New York is $112,000.00 to $150,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
