JOB REQUIREMENTS: At Door County Cooperative, you will be part of a team supporting our local farm community. You will work directly with producers on the farm and in the field, alongside our team at Door County Cooperative, which has a passion for agriculture. This collaboration will add value to the process and improve our customers\' experience. Responsibilities Spraying crops, spreading fertilizer, delivering seed and fertilizer to and from specified destinations Maintains compliance with Company DOT requirements and the Driver\'s Manual Ability to communicate with the supervisor about all maintenance and repairs of equipment and supplies Prepares and maintains records following regulations and company procedures Meets all applicable DOT and WI Dept. of Agriculture and WDNR rules and regulations, and can obtain a Pesticide Applicator Training license (PAT) Provides exceptional customer support to meet customer demand by working evening hours and weekends, as needed General shop maintenance . Requirements Education and background in the Agricultural Field preferred Attention to detail, self-motivated, organized, and able to work without direct supervision, with a passion for the business of agriculture Driver must have the ability to lift heavy objects up to 60 lbs., be able to pull, push, stand, walk without assistance, and work outside in varying weather CDL A/B Must be able to pass a random drug test Job Type Full-time Benefits 401k w/matching Profit Sharing Dental Insurance Employee Discount Health Insurance Paid time off Vision Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Operate or tend equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment. Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks. Operate towed machines such as seed drills or manure spreaders to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers.
