Quality Assurance Technician

The Opportunity:

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of folding cartons throughout all stages of production. This position supports five key quality functions: Work in Process Auditor, Final Auditor, Sample Auditor, Finished Goods Sorting Coordinator, and Work in Process Sorter. A typical day includes auditing cartons, identifying nonconformities, documenting results, completing required samples and paperwork, and ensuring products meet customer specifications before shipment.

How You Will Impact Smurfit WestRock:

Perform Work in Process (WIP) sorting, identifying non-conforming pallets, sorting cartons, measuring results, completing paperwork, and conducting line clearances.

Conduct final audits by inspecting random samples, pulling customer/sales samples, completing COC documentation, and segregating any non-conforming product.

Execute sample audits following customer specifications, including statistical sampling and completing required documentation. \u2022 Carry out Finished Goods and WIP sorting, documentation, line clearance, and staging cartons.

Place orders on hold when non conformities are detected and follow disposition and segregation procedures.

Support QA Manager/Lead as required and promote teamwork.

Follow all policies, safety regulations, SQF requirements, and PPE guidelines.

What You Need to Succeed:

5 years manufacturing or related experience preferred; quality experience is a plus.

Strong computer, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.

Strong mathematical/measurement ability.

Ability to work independently and in a team.

Ability to pass a color blindness test.
