Civil Engineer (Entry-Level / Early Career)

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Transportation Engineering team in Crown Point, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer (0-3 years) who is looking to build a strong technical foundation while working on meaningful transportation infrastructure projects.

You'll be part of a collaborative, team-based environment that emphasizes mentorship, professional growth, and hands-on project experience.

What You'll Be Doing

Perform engineering assignments using standard techniques, procedures, and design criteria

Work under the supervision of a Project Manager

Support a range of engineering tasks, including:

Field work and site inspections

Engineering reports and technical documentation

Permitting and agency coordination

Construction engineering support

Simple design calculations

Review construction drawings and specifications

Coordinate with contractors during project execution

Communicate with local, state, and federal agencies regarding permits and approvals

Projects & Technical Exposure

Transportation infrastructure projects

Roadway and civil site design

Drainage and stormwater management

Grading and construction support activities

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

0-3 years of civil engineering experience

Proficiency with Civil 3D / AutoCAD Civil 3D

Working knowledge of:

Drainage and stormwater systems

Civil design and grading concepts

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment

Preferred (But Not Required)

Master's degree in Civil Engineering

FE / EI certification

This is a Permanent position based out of Crown Point, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.58 - $36.54/hr.
