Summary You will serve as a FABRIC WORKER LEADER in the TEMPORARY SERVICES SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Point Loma Complex, San Diego, California $35.05 - $40.91 Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine $36.28 - $42.31 Responsibilities You will independently evaluate and fabricate a wide range of complex Containment Barriers throughout the shipyard including such areas radiological and non-radiological, nuclear and non-nuclear situations. You will plan, organize, coordinate, and implement numerous quality-related requirements as they relate to design, fabrication, inspection, installation, and removal for both off-hull and in-hull enclosures. You will determine and develop the fabrication, methods taken, materials needed to create and install, and lay out work. You will use complex equipment and calibration instruments to prepare and manufacture containment to include the use of drafting software such as Auto Computer Aided Design (CAD) or Solid Edge. Developing unique enclosures based on in-depth skill and technique, reading, interpreting, and correctly following complex written instructions, drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Performing mathematical principles of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry. Ability to use a variety of sensitive, calibrated, and precision trade specific instruments and equipment.
