What we expect

Job Responsibilities:

Accountable for demonstrating good level of competencies within all job functions in Mechanical Design Engineering.

Read customer specifications and generate BOMs for manufacturing.

Provide 2 and 3 dimensional equipment layouts in top and elevation views.

Works with the rest of engineering team to customer information to an AutoCAD layout drawing.

Responsible for familiarization of internal capabilities and utilization of sound judgment to aid in development of designs of new feature and options to comply with customer requirements.

Accountable for timeliness and accuracy of designs utilizing expertise in Capital equipment, structural steel design and calculations.

Must be familiar with electrical controls from a functional perspective.

Responsible for timely production of design drawings utilizing computer software.

Responsible for frequent vendor contact to affect proper and timely delivery of parts, supplies, etc.

Participate and add value as a member of the engineering team.

Engages in effective communication within and across departments.

Participate in Company Safety Program through safety meetings, audits, following good safe work practices and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Who we are looking for

QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION HOLDER:

Requires proficiencies in MS Office and associated software

Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor desirable. Experience with other software will be valued

Experience with MRP software such as SAP considered an asset

Capital equipment, hydraulic knowledge, machine and sheet metal design knowledge

Possess strong discipline to provide accurate and timely data.

Must be able to work independently, making sound decisions utilizing good managerial judgment

Impeccable attention to detail, effective problem-solving skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work well with a team.

Ability to handle multiple tasks at one timeaccurately, efficiently and effectively

Ability to travel to jobsites for customer support

Must be self-directed, professional and dependable

Demonstrate dependable work habits and schedule

Observe all safety rules, procedures, and OSHA regulations

Expected (Educational) Qualifications:

Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant educational degree.

Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations (NFPA, NEC, ADA, IBC, ASCE, etc.)

Expected Years of Experience:

No experience required
