This position may be filled in the following parishes: Rapides, Caddo, or Ouachita
This position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in managing and supporting Economic Stability operations across the Alexandria, Shreveport, and Monroe Regions. Serving as the budget and procurement lead, the incumbent oversees fiscal management, purchasing, and procurement activities while supporting training, safety coordination, and risk management efforts. Working closely with regional leadership and area directors, this role functions independently to ensure sound financial operations, effective resource management, and compliance across multiple programs. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills who enjoys collaborating with leadership and making a meaningful impact on regional operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Four years of experience in administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR
A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR
An advanced degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
BUDGET AND FISCAL MANAGEMENT
Responsible for preparing and tracking the annual budgets for Economic Stability and shared budgets in the Alexandria, Shreveport, & Monroe Regions within Economic Stability on behalf of the Budget Division. Preparation of the monthly expenditure analysis which reflects total monthly expenditures, year to date
expenditures, encumbrances, remaining budget, total year projection and budget balance by object code.
PURCHASING/PROCUREMENT
Coordinates flights, hotel reservations and Enterprise reservations for in-state and out of state traveling. Ensures worker receives traveling confirmation of flight, hotel accommodations and car rental. Responsible for retrieval of receipts from staff to reconcile transactions associates with travel to ensure compliance
with state travel regulations and reimbursement procedure.
TRAINING
Performs training to new field clerical staff in New Worker Orientation to ensure safety requirements are met and that worker receives information regarding Hotel planner, Enterprise Rental, current state travel regulations, incident/accident reporting and CBA and LaCarte transactions in WORKS.
On-going development of professional training to maintain knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, CBA Policy, Safety Policy and SRM/Procurement.
SAFETY COORDINATION/RISK MANAGEMENT
Serves as the Safety Coordinator/Risk Management Officer for the Tri-Region. Conducts, prepares, and submits audit reports of field and parish offices to ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations for the department set by the Division of Administration.
Reviews all required safety documents (accident reports, hazard logs, inspections, safety meeting reports, etc.) as well as compile quarterly reports of safety meetings and training for submission to the DCFS Safety Officer. Coordinates annual property control/inventory and state vehicle tracking to ensure vehicle maintenance is performed regularly.
