Job Title: Marketing Assistant/Analyst II
Compensation: $28-$33 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Fully remote, standard business hours. EST
Role Summary
The Marketing Assistant/Analyst II transforms marketing data into actionable insights that increase campaign effectiveness, drive pipeline visibility, and support strategic business decisions. This role involves direct collaboration with Marketing Automation, Digital Campaign Managers, Salesforce/IT, and business stakeholders to develop dashboards, manage marketing data, and deliver high-quality analytics and reporting across diverse platforms including Snowflake, Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Data Cloud, Datorama, and Power BI.
This position requires both technical marketing analytics expertise and strong relationship-building skills to support daily reporting needs and foster overall analytics maturity within the marketing organization.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Analytics & Reporting
Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards reporting on campaign performance, funnel metrics, lead lifecycle, attribution, and audience insights.
Translate business needs into KPIs, metrics, and reporting views aligned to marketing and sales goals.
Analyze marketing performance data, identifying trends, insights, and optimization opportunities for ongoing and future campaigns.
Provide accurate, timely dashboards and reports for executive, leadership, and operational decision-making.
Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, and Data Cloud Support
Create/manage Data Extensions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud for segmentation, analysis, and reporting.
Support reporting requirements using Salesforce Data Cloud by contributing to data modeling and calculated insights.
Collaborate with Marketing Operations, IT, and stakeholders to maintain accurate, timely, analytics-ready data flows between Salesforce CRM, Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, Snowflake, and Power BI.
Troubleshoot and validate data quality across systems, documenting data structures, metrics, and field definitions for consistency.
Data Quality & Governance
Support the definition of standardized marketing metrics, naming conventions, and reporting best practices.
Monitor marketing data quality, highlighting issues in data completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
Partner with stakeholders to enhance overall data hygiene and reporting reliability.
Collaboration & Enablement
Align reporting solutions with cross-functional teams: Campaign Managers, Marketing Operations, Communications, and Analytics.
Train and enable non-technical stakeholders on dashboards, metrics, and insights to encourage data-driven decisions.
Provide ad hoc analysis to support key campaigns, pilots, and strategic programs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Analytics, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
3+ years' experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or related analytics roles
Hands-on experience with Power BI and Datorama (dashboard development, data modeling, DAX)
Experience working with Salesforce CRM data (Leads, Contacts, Campaigns, Opportunities)
Experience in creating/managing Data Extensions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud or comparable platforms
Strong SQL and data manipulation skills
Excellent communication skills for delivering insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large marketing functions or Center of Excellence models
Understanding of lead lifecycle, funnel metrics, and campaign measurement
Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud concepts (unified profiles, calculated insights, audience reporting)
Experience integrating multiple data sources into centralized analytics and reporting
Exposure to marketing automation tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Eloqua, etc.
Background in data governance, metric standardization, and analytics documentation
