This is a full-time, limited position funded through a U.S. Department of Education grant. Funding is currently appropriated through June 30, 2027. Continued employment is dependent on future federal funding.
Job Description
Dakota County Technical College and Inver Hills Community College seek a Career and Technical Education Specialist to support coordination of the colleges' career and technical education initiatives and supporting activities to increase enrollment in career and technical education (CTE) pathways in support of the college's strategic framework and equity goals.
Responsibilities include:
Develop and coordinate Perkins grant initiatives and supporting activities.
Develop and coordinate Perkins grant budget and spending.
Ensure grant compliance and compliance with other mandates.
Ensure appropriate Perkins consortia governance.
Collaborates with internal and external organizations and other entities to advocate for CTE.
Provides coordination and support for consortia activities and assists with communication among partners.
Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner including dual enrollment support and other special projects.
Salary Range: $25.67 - $37.26/Hour; $53,599 - $77,799/Year
? Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years of career and technical education experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Budget management experience.
Ability to analyze data and appropriately use it in decision making.
Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders to successfully develop and execute initiatives or projects.
Ability to develop and deliver clear presentations to all levels in an organization.
Ability to write clear plans and reports to satisfy external agencies' and other stakeholders' requirements.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Preferred Qualification
Master's degree in higher education, business, or other relevant field from an accredited college or university.
Perkins grant management experience.
Experience managing an annual budget of $50,000 or more.
