We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role involves managing full-cycle accounting tasks for multiple units, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to contribute to the company's success.

Responsibilities:

Handle full-cycle accounting responsibilities for assigned units, serving as their primary accountant.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each unit and ensure timely submission.

Perform bank reconciliations and manage accruals, maintaining a thorough understanding of debits and credits.

Assist with audits and provide accurate financial documentation as needed.

Conduct variance analysis, manage sales tax filings, and oversee fixed asset accounting.

Meet strict deadlines, ensuring financial reports are completed by the 15th of each month.

Collaborate with Senior Accountants for guidance on escalated issues or technical inquiries.

Utilize intermediate Excel proficiency for data analysis and reporting.

Support continuous improvement initiatives within accounting processes and systems.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.

Proficiency in intermediate Excel is essential for success in this role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.

Familiarity with tasks such as sales tax, journal entries, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow within the company.

Commitment to completing work accurately and on time, even under tight deadlines.
