Job Title: Production Operator

Job Description

As a Production Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that automotive parts meet specified quality standards. Your primary responsibility will be to check parts, verifying that the drilled holes are at the correct distance and size from the end of the part using a tape measure.

Responsibilities

Measure the distance and size of drilled holes in metal parts using a tape measure.

Ensure accuracy and quality of parts in the production line.

Perform visual inspections and quality control checks.

Assist in various production tasks including assembly, packaging, and machine operation.

Be flexible and ready to assist in multiple jobs as needed, including manual machining and forklift operations.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in reading a tape measure, including understanding fractions.

Prior manufacturing experience with the ability to stand for extended periods.

Experience in production, general labor, inspection, and quality control.

Familiarity with tools such as calipers, micrometers, and power tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with blueprint reading and visual inspection.

Capability to operate forklifts and other machinery.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-climate-controlled facility, which can be hot during the summer. However, you will find a friendly and supportive team environment. Steel-toed shoes are required for safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brighton, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.50/hr.
