Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Located in our Englewood, CO or Rochester Hills, MI engineering offices, you will be a Field Product Application Engineer! The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong mechanical and technical skills, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
You'll be working with the Industrial Application Engineering team and reporting to the Application Engineer - Power Transmission Lead.
This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be working with customers on a variety of product applications primarily in our industrial markets.
You will help troubleshoot issues that arise with customer products and help design and recommend solutions using Gates products.

Key responsibilities (to name a few):
Providing engineering service to customers and clients in the proper application and selection of power transmission products
Effectively present technical and product training material to internal and external customers
Working cooperatively with North American Field Sales, Product Line Managers, and the Marketing Team to achieve organizational success
Analyzing application requirements, providing failure analysis, selecting components, and making recommendations to meet system requirements
Troubleshooting any questions customers pose via phone, email, and in-person. Building strong relationships is crucial to success in this role

ABOUT YOU
Bachelor's Degree, preferrable Mechanical, plus 3-5 years of engineering experience OR 5-10 years of progressive engineering experience, required.
Eager to be hands on working with our customers, engineers, sales, and marketing teams!
Engineering discipline with a focus on Mechanical and Power Transimission systems, preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
