Summary The Primary Purpose of this Position is: Key role of this position Is to maintain precise and timely submission of the time and attendance records for Nursing Service and Sterile Processing and Decontamination employees: and, performs timekeeping duties and responsibilities of posting time and attendance records timecards fee basis documentation and authorization documents work associated Nursing Service employees. Responsibilities Duties include but not limited to:- Post hours worked, leave taken, overtime/compensatory time worked and tour changes and determining the entitlement of employees based on when the hours of work are performed for holiday, premium, and weekend and off tour differentials.- Obtains additional information or clarification on problems with or pertaining to time scheduling, leave and overtime errors for correction. Enters time approved by Nursing and Sterile Processing and Decontamination supervisors into the PAID system. Explains rules and regulations used to reach conclusions,. Provide explanations to different levels of staff rules and regulations pertaining to differential, holiday pay/holiday excused, part-time hours, unscheduled hours, and the difference between Title 38 and Title 5 and Family Friendly Leave Act, Advance Sick Leave, and Advance Annual Leave. Ensures automated records are accepted by the PAID system and transmitted to payroll processing center. Provides information regarding request for leave without pay, continuation of pay (COP), and other associated on-the-job injuries and time questions. Informs back-up timekeeper of new or changed procedures and other time and attendance issues such as leave requests, materials/documents for military leave, extended leave, jury duty, documentation for part-time physicians. Uses word processing software to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve, and print forms, memos, letters, and lengthy reports. Establishes files, maintains, purges, and disposes of office records/files in accordance with regulation and procedures. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: applying knowledge of regulations and processes in order to post time, enter and correct time and attendance records and interpret leave balances in automated systems; utilizes various office automation software to produce a wide range of documents, spreadsheets and reports; communicates with staff to resolve time and leave problems by gathering information, clarifying issues and reaching a resolution; establishes files and office records in accordance with polices and procedures; response to inquiries pertaining to holiday pay, overtime and premium pay, shift differential. OR, Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have four (4) years of education above high school (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED).
