Job Title: Production Assembler

Job Description

Assemble mechanical sub-assemblies and final builds, such as frames, panels, pumps, valves, piping, and hoses, following assembly drawings and work orders. Verify parts and materials, read and follow assembly drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions. Inspect your own work and assist with basic functional checks, including leaks, fastener torque, visual inspections, and documentation. Rework or adjust assemblies to meet specifications and quality standards as directed. Maintain 5S standards by sweeping, organizing, and ensuring a safe, clean workstation. Support crating, packaging, labeling, and staging for shipment as needed.

Responsibilities

Assist with basic functional checks and documentation.

Rework or adjust assemblies to meet specifications and quality standards.

Maintain 5S standards for a safe and clean workstation.

Support crating, packaging, labeling, and staging for shipment.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in general assembly and production.

Experience in electrical and mechanical assembly.

Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.

Competence in interpreting blueprints and schematics.

Capability to troubleshoot assembly issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Accurate reading of a tape measure.

Experience in assembly line production.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Niles, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.04 - $20.08/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
