Job Description
This position is responsible for accurate documentation and maintenance of the college's curriculum warehouse and program inventory, and provides technical assistance to the Academic Affairs and Standards Council (AASC) as well as the CurriculumWorkflow workgroup. The position is also responsible for creating and maintaining master schedules each semester, including course, faculty, and classroom/lab schedules in collaboration with academic deans. Manages the student learning assessment and program review data warehouse. Assists the Registrar in troubleshoot registration issues related to course set-up.
Salary Range: $22.23- $30.09 per hour; pay within this range dependent on education and work experience and internal equity.
Minimum Qualifications
-Communication skills sufficient to interpret and respond to students, staff, faculty, and community stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
-Customer service skills (phone, in-person, public presentations) sufficient to identify and respond to customer needs.
-Knowledge of databases sufficient to use non-standard or advance software features as research tools and generate a variety of reports.
-Skill in word processing sufficient to prepare, edit, and finalize emails, memos, reports, and/or other documents and @types of written communication that are grammatically correct, in proper format, and free of spelling errors.
-Data entry and skills sufficient to compile, sort, verify data accuracy before entering it, and locate/correct data entry errors.
-Skill in developing and implementing administrative and program policies, procedures, and service standards in cooperation with management.
-Sufficient math skills to assist with budget recommendations and drafts.
Preferred Qualification
-Demonstrated knowledge of ISRS, DARS, web-based curriculum, Events Management System, and Faculty Workload Management system, and National Student Clearinghouse.
-Demonstrate knowledge of, and share the college's interest in, diverse cultures and populations.
-Knowledge and understanding of Minnesota State Colleges and Universities academic policies and procedures, college curriculum process, and student registration.
-Understanding of the MSCF Contract along with working knowledge of contractual obligations to the faculty in areas pertaining to scheduling faculty loads.
-Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build a collaborative working relationship within all College departments, and with faculty and students.
-Ability to participate in both long-range and short-range planning for Academic Affairs.
-Ability to effectively recommend changes in academic related areas for continuous program improvement.
-Flexibility in dealing with multiple demands and ability to remain calm.
-Knowledge of data privacy laws.
