Description

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Accountant to join our team in Hart, Michigan. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with industry standards. This position offers an opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with diverse teams and contributing to organizational success.

Responsibilities:

Manage general accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

Facilitate the monthly closing process, adhering to established group reporting guidelines.

Reconcile general ledgers, including intercompany transactions, expense transfers, and month-end activities.

Conduct bank reconciliations and prepare expense accruals, analyzing trends for actionable insights.

Research and reclassify departmental expenses as required to maintain proper accounting records.

Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.

Perform variance analysis to identify discrepancies and provide recommendations to management.

Collaborate with operational teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Support integration processes related to mergers and acquisitions, including accounting activities.

Undertake special projects and ad hoc analyses to address emerging business needs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in corporate settings.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and lookups.

Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and GAAP standards.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration across teams.

Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

Ability to adapt quickly to new tools and processes in a dynamic environment.

Ability to work in a mostly remote environment.
