(Part-Time) Golf Course Maintenance Worker

PAY RATE: $14.45 - $16.17 per hour (up to 1,500 hours per year).

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Work activities in this position primarily involve the maintenance of the golf course.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES: The list below is intended to describe the general nature of duties only. Employee shall perform other duties as assigned.

Maintains and weeds flower beds.

Maintains and cares for trees, plants, and shrubs.

Mowing of greens, tees, fairways and rough using specialized mowing equipment

Operates a weed whip.

Operates a Cushman.

Performs cup placement on greens.

Maintains golf cart fleet.

Performs building maintenance.

Performs golf range maintenance.

Keeps buildings and grounds clean.

Paints buildings and signs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be 18 years old.

Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

Ability to work in all weather conditions.

Ability to work varied hours depending upon park demands.

Ability to traverse sandy, marshy or wooded areas with even or uneven terrain.

Ability to get along with co-workers, supervisors, and park visitors.

Will be required to work assigned Special Events, Weekends, Evenings and Holidays.

Will be required to adjust schedule to meet organizational needs.

Ability to perform essential duties.

Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.

Ability to load, unload and move materials from one location to another.

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED: Hand & power tools, mowers, golf carts, telephone, radio.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to walk, sit, talk and hear. The employee is routinely required to use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is routinely required to run, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch and must have the ability to traverse sandy, marshy, or wooded areas with uneven terrain. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
