Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary technical contact and manufacturing engineering liaison between internal product development teams and external suppliers/contract manufacturers.
Collaborate with design teams to provide DfX (manufacturing, test, assembly) feedback for PCBAs, HMI consoles, wiring harnesses, motors, batteries, and system-level designs.
Define and develop manufacturing assembly processes and test strategies/requirements for new system product electrical sub-assemblies
Partner with external manufacturing partners/supplier to develop and qualify test systems and execute TMVs
Partner with R&D and suppliers to conduct risk assessments (FMEAs) and create process validation and qualification plans (MVP, IQ/OQ/PQ) for supplier execution.
Support incoming inspection teams as a technical expert to troubleshoot PCBA and system build failures during the NPI phase.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required (masters degree preferred) in electrical engineering or related fields
At least 5+ years of experience as an NPI electrical design/test engineer, preferably with a background in robotics, automotive, or medical devices manufacturing
Demonstrated experience in printed circuit board manufacturing, SMT process, electrical component and assembly
Proficiency in Altium or similar CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB design.
Working knowledge of test systems- hardware and software development using LabVIEW, Python, C/C#, firmware and diagnostics for board level testing preferred
Demonstrated experience developing process validation plans, including IQ/OQ/PQ protocols/reports required. Experience designing and executing Gauge R&R studies preferred
Working with suppliers and EMS/CM partners highly preferred
Knowledge of FDA 21CFR820/821 and ISO 13485 requirements
Strong leadership, cross-functional communication, and proactive problem-solving
Working knowledge of SAP a plus
Willingness to travel within US and International 10-15% of the time.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is: $94,000 - $151,800.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
