Job Summary:

Career Plus High (CPH) School Diploma Program Coordinator

Under the supervision of the Dean of Adult Education, the CPH Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, supporting, and guiding students through the CPH program while ensuring strong collaboration with college departments, adult education, and community partners. This role leads outreach and marketing efforts, maintains accurate program information across websites and social media, and builds community awareness through presentations and one-on-one engagement. The coordinator supports active students by monitoring academic progress, conducting regular check-ins, coordinating instructional and support services, and maintaining required documentation and data systems. Success in this position requires strong relationship-building skills, the ability to work independently, effective communication, and a commitment to helping students stay on track toward credential completion and career pathways.

Essential Functions:

Provide training to Adult ED and college personnel to ensure they have a full understanding of CPH (10%) Work with college marketing and public relations departments to advertise the program and recruit. (5%) Promote CPH to community leaders and potential students through presentations, meetings, and one-on-one sessions. (20%) Assist students with CPH enrollment (20%) Monitor student performance in high school classes, postsecondary courses and progress for those completing GED/HiSET tests. Conduct monthly student and instructor check-ins to ensure students are on track. Connect students with tutoring.

Monitor Banner and Galis to ensure student information is updated and attendance for high school courses and check-ins are entered into Galis. (10%) Work with college admissions and academic affairs for enrollment, financial aid, advisement and AE Career Services specialist. (15%) Other Duties as assigned

Competencies:

Knowledge of best practices, rules, and testing needs; Ability to break larger tasks into manageable smaller tasks; Oral and written communication skills; Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs; Skill in accurate recordkeeping; Organizational skills; Skills in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public; Decision making and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and technologies.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Work load is Monday-Friday, combination of morning, afternoon and evening hours required.

Location: Murphy Campus

Rate of Pay:

$53,000 - $58,000 per year.

Benefits include paid state holidays, vacation and sick leave, retirement, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.

Travel:

Travel to other campuses to meet with students, instructors and support staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education, business administration or a closely related field and Three (3) years of experience in an educational setting. Supervisory experience is required.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Master's degree Adult Education experience Academic Knowledge of career pathways at colleges Experience with Blackboard, Banner, and Galis Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills;
