Position Overview
This role is responsible for the technical ownership, integration, and support of automation technologies across the supply chain - including Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Yard Management Application. This role ensures that all automation technologies are robust, secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise architecture and long-term digital transformation goals. Acting as the key IT partner for Supply Chain and Engineering functions, the IT Director provides strategic direction, integration oversight, and operational stewardship of automation systems at the site and regional level.
A Day In The Life
Define and drive the IT strategy for Supply Chain automation systems, aligning with corporate technology and business objectives.
Establish governance frameworks for automation system management - standards, lifecycle policies, and upgrade coordination.
Serve as the primary IT interface for automation initiatives, ensuring technology decisions align with enterprise architecture and digital transformation strategies.
Partner with business stakeholders to plan automation roadmaps, prioritize IT investments, and support business-led innovation initiatives.
Champion the adoption of modern automation technologies, ensuring readiness for future scalability and interoperability.
Ensure budget planning, cost transparency, and long-term sustainability for automation-related IT assets.
Regional or multi-site responsibility for automation systems supporting large-scale supply chain operations.
Direct impact on SC Automation Application support, system uptime, and digital enablement of logistics operations.
Key contributor to enterprise automation strategy, architecture standardization, and cybersecurity posture.
Influences capital investment, vendor relationships, and long-term technology roadmaps across the region.
You'll Come With
10+ years of IT leadership experience in supply chain, logistics, or supply chain automation environments.
15+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or supply chain automation environments.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Proven expertise in managing WCS/WES, MHE control systems, robotics integration.
Any experience with Daifuku Dynamics/Dematic DIQ will be considered as a plus.
Demonstrated success in leading automation projects and integrations with warehouse management systems (Manh WMOs or MATM)
Deep knowledge of SaaS and on-prem application administration, architecture and security
Working experience in major automation vendors and integrators
Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
