Staff Accountant - Growth Opportunity

Torrance, CA

Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders and receiving documentation, and accurately record transactions

Review and process employee expense reports

Coordinate monthly credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies

Manage fixed assets including additions, disposals, depreciation, and annual physical counts

Maintain Construction-in-Progress (CIP) accounts and project documentation

Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations (AP, fixed assets, and related accounts)

Assist with journal entries and month-end close activities

Support quarter-end and year-end audits by preparing documentation and working with external auditors

Assist with compliance reporting including sales tax and corporate tax filings

Perform additional accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

2+ years of accounting experience

Strong understanding of GAAP principles

Experience with accounts payable, general ledger reconciliations, and fixed assets

Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least two years of relevant work experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, along with familiarity with accounting software.

Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules when necessary.

Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners.

Analytical abilities to solve complex accounting issues and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.

Knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and general ledger systems.

Experience with accounts payable processes and fixed asset accounting.
