About the Role:

Join our innovative automotive engineering team as an Automotive Electrical Release Engineer! We are looking for a detail-focused professional with a background in automotive wiring systems to oversee product releases and collaborate closely with both customers and internal teams. You will play a crucial role in tracking engineering issues, ensuring quality control, and driving projects to successful delivery.

Responsibilities:

Monitor, log, and follow up on open engineering issues, working with both internal and client-side stakeholders to reach timely resolutions.

Manage and support customer part release systems, including processing approval documents and maintaining compliance with release procedures.

Review and validate technical information received from customers, confirming its completeness and application to current projects.

Create and utilize Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) reports to anticipate and mitigate design risks.

Troubleshoot and resolve challenges with both new and legacy wiring designs.

Develop and manage Design Verification Plans and Reports (DVPR) to validate product integrity.

Serve as a primary liaison to customers regarding design status, modifications, and build requirements.

Oversee and control design release budgets, evaluating both unit and tooling costs to maintain cost-effectiveness.

Conduct functional evaluations of proto@types, making necessary revisions to meet technical standards.

Coordinate closely with production teams to ensure timely, specification-compliant delivery of parts, participating in design inspections and reviews as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Hands-on experience with automotive wiring design or release engineering.

Working knowledge of DFMEA and DVPR procedures.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for quality assurance.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills for interfacing with clients and cross-functional teams.

Ability to prioritize and oversee multiple projects simultaneously to successful, on-time completion.

High attention to detail and commitment to delivering excellence.
