Role summary:
The Senior Director, Finance, leads the development and execution of long-term strategic financial planning aligned with corporate objectives. This role partners with cross-functional teams to assess financial risks, analyze business performance, and provide actionable insights that support informed decision-making. Responsible for overseeing financial reporting, control structures, and complex financial modeling, the position ensures accuracy and transparency across global operations. The Senior Director also drives business strategy implementation, fosters talent development, and promotes a culture of integrity and continuous improvement to achieve sustainable financial success.
About the team:
The Operations Finance and Strategy team partners across business units to deliver actionable insights, drive business planning, and support strategic initiatives. Operating at the intersection of finance, operations, and strategy, the team collaborates with senior leaders to enhance business performance and foster innovation. This group emphasizes strong relationship-building, integrity, and excellence in all efforts. Leadership within the team plays a key role in transforming processes and enabling effective decision-making to support Walmart's growth and long-term objectives.
What you'll do:
Lead business support for a Supercenter Business Unit, driving strategic execution, financial planning, and end-to-end connectivity.
Deliver business planning by charting paths to exceed plan expectations, driving accountability, and supporting long-range planning.
Advise operations leadership by supporting priorities, connecting the dots, and providing a forward-looking lens for the business.
Generate and implement business growth ideas, create risk mitigation plans, and maximize business strategies.
Enable and support cross-functional strategic initiatives, facilitating collaboration and alignment to accelerate market share gains.
Transform finance ways of working by adopting new technologies, processes, and ideation approaches.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and communications for all levels of the organization.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA highly preferred).
7+ years of experience in finance, planning, or business management, with a strong track record in large, complex organizations.
4+ years of experience leading cross-functional projects and teams.
Advanced financial acumen and technical/analytical capabilities.
Proven ability to manage interconnectivities of business units and align stakeholders with competing priorities.
Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex subjects.
Experience driving results through collaboration, accountability, and high standards.
Strong relationship-building and diplomacy skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
