Job Summary

The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling BrightView's products and services while serving as a brand ambassador. This role builds strong connections with people and communities by delivering best-in-class landscaping services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Acquire new commercial customers through door-to-door sales, direct marketing, and other prospecting activities, including lead generation and conversion.

Conduct proactive consultative needs analysis with new prospective customers to identify opportunities.

Partner with operational partners to support contract negotiations and pricing schedules

Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to customer needs.

Build and maintain strong business relationships to drive future sales.

Stay informed about competitor activities within the assigned territory; communicate competitive pricing changes, marketing directives, or door-to-door sales tactics to management.

Successfully complete all required training programs

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Prior sales experience in prospecting, cold calling, or direct sales

Motivated and ambitious, with a strong desire to achieve and exceed sales targets

Resilient with the ability to handle rejection and persist through challenges.

Positive, enthusiastic attitude toward sales and customer interactions

Adaptable to changing environments and client needs, eager to learn and grow

Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information and persuasively engage potential customers.

Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain lasting customer and colleague relationships.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Physical Demands/Requirements:

Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, cell phone, and sales programs/tools.

Position is a combination of mobile and sedentary work; must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time

Customarily and regularly spends more than half of the time working away from BrightView's places of business, selling and obtaining orders or contracts for BrightView's services

Ability to travel by car, train, and plane

Position needs to be able to traverse uneven grounds and walk on job sites with clients and branch teams for periods of time up to 4 hours

Work Environment :

Works both indoors and outdoors

Field-based position, a combination of office and customer-facing
