Job Summary:

The Administrative Clerk will report operationally to the Program Manager and be assigned work by the Designated Government Representative (DGR) in charge for 10th Space Operations Squadron (10 SOPS). The Administrative Clerk is responsible for providing administrative services that include conducting office operations and maintaining command directives. The Administrative Clerk efforts shall support internal operations at 10 SOPS Headquarters, Detachment Alfa (Det A), Detachment Charlie (Det C), and Detachment Delta (Det D). The Administrative Clerk shall work interactively with Government administrative personnel internal to 10 SOPS and shall know and apply the proper protocol and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Office Management

Oversee day-to-day office operations, including maintaining office supplies and equipment.

Coordinate office events, meetings, and appointments.

Ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and conducive to productivity.

Manage mail-processing and distribution, encompassing all internal and external mail center of operations.

Communication Support

Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications.

Prepare and distribute correspondence, including emails, memos, and documents.

Answer and direct phone calls or arriving customers as needed.

Administrative Assistance:

Assist with scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and organizing travel arrangements.

Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for staff and management.

Handle filing, data entry, and document management.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or related field preferred, or combination of experience and education.?

Experience: 2+ years of experience in an administrative or office support role.

Clearance Requirement: Current Secret Clearance or eligibility.

Required Skills:

Experience with office management software, such as Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with office software and equipment.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Highly professional and positive demeanor, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, clients, and visitors.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Preferred Skills:

License or certification in one of the administrative service trades.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

Primarily office-based work with a moderate amount of sitting, standing, and walking.

Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 50 lbs.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with staff and management.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, typically working 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on operational needs.
