Job Title: Industrial Electrician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, programming, and validating electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, ensuring they meet our rigorous build specifications. You will work closely with project teams and assist in the integration and troubleshooting of various machine controllers and systems.

Responsibilities

Design electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and program machine PLCs.

Coordinate machine debug, power-up, and validation with build and electrical teams.

Create and review electrical and controls drawings using AutoCAD 2008 or AutoCAD LT2008.

Ensure compliance of OEM submitted drawings with equipment standards.

Communicate with project teams to maintain project awareness.

Integrate, develop, and troubleshoot programs for machine controllers, servo systems, motion controllers, and HMIs.

Develop a machine bill of materials and coordinate procurement with purchasing department.

Coordinate with maintenance technicians and electricians to keep documentation and programs current.

Attend technical training classes and share knowledge with team members.

Essential Skills

Industrial Electrician certification or equivalent experience.

Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and PLC programming.

Experience with voltmeters, pneumatics, and control systems.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of related mechanical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Mechanical Journeyman or Technical/Vocational Certificate preferred.

Experience in electrical circuit troubleshooting, plumbing, pneumatics, and Mig welding.

Ability to adapt to change, solve problems, and prioritize work.

Physical ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, and lift materials up to 70 lbs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Putnam, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
