The Senior Manufacturing Systems Platform Architect will support our exciting fast growth Data Solutions business by ensuring scalable, reliable, and integrated manufacturing data platforms.
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Transform our manufacturing systems and processes using innovative IT (information technology) and OT (operational technology) platforms
Collaborate with Digital, Operations, and Engineering teams to identify, design and deliver digital solutions that enhance manufacturing employee experience, improve training effectiveness, increase labor and equipment productivity, improve quality, and enable full product genealogy and traceability.
Lead or participate in critical initiatives as well as continuous improvement (Kaizen) projects to drive measurable business value
Establish and ensure data standards aligned across platforms; partner with business and analytics teams to drive value through analytics tools and dashboards
Perform installation and configuration tasks related to software packages and collaborate with software vendors on product roadmaps and enhancements
Integrate data & processes across our global enterprise platforms such as MES, ERP, PLM, SCADA/Equipment and cloud-based analytics platforms
Support critical incident response processes with the overall aim to improve resiliency in our factory operations and ensuring uptime for digital platforms that support them
Institute a knowledge base and a community of practice across our plant operations, functional areas, and digital teams that is also aligned with industry trends (e.g. Industry 4.0)
Design intuitive user interfaces that align with the nVent design language & standards
?
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing / Industrial Engineering preferred
Ideally 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or technology or an equivalent combination of experience
Extensive knowledge and experience working with and integrating:
o MES Systems (Tulip, FactoryTalk or similar)
o ERP Systems (JDE, Oracle, SAP, Infor M3, etc)
o SCADA systems - (Ignition or similar)
o Data Lake tools - (Snowflake or similar)
o Data Analytics tools - (Tableau, PowerBI or similar)
Skilled in Python and SQL essential programming languages, ladder logic; JavaScript nice to have
Skilled in all phases of the development process: scoping, and analyzing client requirements, and interfacing manufacturing systems and equipment; development, testing, deployment planning/execution; provide technical support during/after deployment
Ability to identify and develop AI use cases and tools to drive efficiency in both IT/Digital and business processes
Skilled at defining scope and functional and operational requirements for MES systems
Ability to provide technical assistance on manufacturing applications and MES/SCADA programs
Ability to use strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with people across multiple functional areas and organizational levels
Demonstrates exceptional commitment to consistently exceed customer/stakeholder expectations
Ability to adapt & thrive in a rapidly growing and changing business environment

Pay Transparency
nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range:
$105,000.00 - $195,000.00
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
