Overview

The P-Card Office within the Controller's Office is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site desk position that offers stability and the chance to make a meaningful impact. If you enjoy working with numbers, bookkeeping, and accounting tasks-and you find satisfaction in accuracy and organization-this role may be a great fit for you. In this position, you will support the daily operations of the department by processing card requests, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with a variety of p-card functions. You'll also have the opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment while contributing to the financial integrity of the university. We are looking for someone who takes pride in being dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys solving problems with numbers.

Responsibilities

Maintain account changes, limit increases and other card functions according to University Policies and Procedures.

Maintain cardholder account information in external bank system.

Process payments from the university's e-procurement system (USU EZ-BUY) on central account p-card.

Provide front-line customer service to students, faculty, and staff at the counter and by phone.

Answer and direct multiple telephone lines in a professional and courteous manner.

Perform other p-card or accounts payable-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Two years of relevant experience or an associate degree.

Proficiency working in multiple computer programs simultaneously (Windows, Excel, web browsers).

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with USU's Banner Finance System.

Bookkeeping or accounting-related experience, or an associate's degree/certification in business or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilites:

Knowledge of p-card processes and practices.

Knowledge of university travel policies and procedures.

Knowledge of accounts payable processes and practices.
