As a Digital Enterprise Architect at Raytheon, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Digital Technology ecosystem. You will define and deliver enterprise-level architecture strategies and roadmaps that align with our business goals today and prepare us for the challenges of tomorrow. Reporting to the Enterprise Architecture Solutions Director, you'll combine your vision, strategic thinking, and problem-solving expertise with our core team to drive innovation and ensure our digital systems remain agile, integrated, and future-ready.
In this hands-on role, you will lead the business architecture development for multiple business functions, partnering closely with leaders and teams, including SAFe Agile Release Trains, to execute work. You will tackle complex, high-impact projects that require deep investigation, analysis, and collaboration across multiple organizations. Your work will directly influence operational plans and ensure seamless integration of business systems and processes to deliver long-term success.
As a key member of our Architecture Center of Excellence (CoE), you'll also help mature and scale our architecture practice through the development of consistent frameworks, standards, and processes. You will own and manage our master architecture models that depict our key systems, integrations, and data flows, guiding strategic planning and investment decisions. You will contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, driving CORE improvements that deliver measurable business outcomes.

What You Will Do:
Architect for the Future: Create business-level architecture strategies and roadmaps to align with Raytheon's evolving goals and digital systems across multiple functions
Lead High-Impact Initiatives: Serve as the go-to enterprise architect for complex, strategic projects that directly influence operational success across the business portfolio, especially within your assigned functions.
Champion Best Practices: Play a key role in our Architecture Center of Excellence (CoE), maturing our processes and the development of frameworks, standards, and technology patterns.
Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with functional leaders, solution architects, and cross-functional teams to design trusted, compliant, and efficient solutions.
Shape Strategic Investments: Develop, maintain, and own master architecture models that guide decision-making and inform investment strategies.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years' experience.
Proven experience leading and advancing the maturity of Architecture teams.
Experience architecting large transformation initiatives
Experience with formal architecture modeling, using notations such as ArchiMate, UML, BPMN, or SysML, using Cameo Enterprise Architect or similar tools.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Proven experience leading Enterprise Architecture teams in large, complex organizations.
Formal architecture certifications or degrees, such as RTX Certified Architect, TOGAF; with successful practical application of such frameworks in organizational operating models.
Strong technical expertise across multiple domains such as applications, data analytics, cloud, infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
Experience working in distributed teams and facilitating cross-organizational solutions with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills, including executive-level presentations, negotiation, and technical briefings.
Persistence and focus in tackling long-term, complex challenges to achieve strategic objectives.
Empathetic, people-focused leadership that fosters trust and builds strong partnerships.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Secret security clearance. The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
