Job Title: Architectural Project Manager

Job Description

This position is ideal for a strong design- and technically-minded leader with broad project experience, especially in the K-12 education sector. The role requires a strategic thinker who excels in client engagement, team leadership, and technical rigor. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, mentor emerging talent, collaborate with leadership, and contribute to raising design excellence across the practice.

Responsibilities

Lead design, technical direction, and project documentation for complex architectural work, with a strong focus on ground-up K-12 education projects.

Guide and mentor interdisciplinary teams, elevating skills, collaboration, and overall project quality across all phases.

Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams to maintain clear alignment on project goals, design vision, and deliverable expectations.

Oversee project standards, workflows, and quality assurance from concept design through construction administration.

Participate in client-facing meetings, presentations, and stakeholder engagements, helping shape and communicate project vision and design intent.

Support broader firmwide initiatives related to design excellence, technical standards, and best practices.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in Revit is required.

Experience in architectural design, construction administration, design development, and schematic design.

Ability to create and carry architectural models in Revit for education projects from schematic design through construction administration.

Registered architect preferred.

Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills, including comfort presenting to clients and stakeholders.

Ability to mentor others, lead teams, and uphold design and technical standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture is required.

10+ years of professional experience with demonstrated leadership across multiple project phases.

Architectural licensure preferred but not required.

Familiarity with additional software such as SketchUp, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite, or BIM coordination tools is a plus.

Experience in K-12 design is strongly preferred.

Self-directed, collaborative, and comfortable managing complex project demands with professionalism and autonomy.

Work Environment

The position involves working Monday to Friday in an office setting with some site visits. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, allowing for every other Friday off and the flexibility to adjust the schedule to coincide with holidays for a four-day weekend. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $115000.00/yr.
