Ag Equipment Operators needed to operate one or more tillage machines, drive tractors and planters, plant, cultivate, and harvest asparagus, sweet corn, carrots, broccoli and zucchini, squash, pumpkin, cabbage. Examples of mechanized power equipment includes but is not limited to tractors, planters, sprayers, cultivators, field/mobile forklifts and other equipment. Workers will be expected to be able to operate agricultural equipment with or without direction, as well as service machinery, trucks and trailers. Workers will also complete tasks associated with general farm work, including but not limited to routine maintenance on equipment, removing trash, trees, stumps, rocks, and any other debris or materials, and may repair buildings and other farm structures. The work will be performed in Oceana and Mason County, MI.

Work schedule is generally 36 hours per week, Monday through Saturday. Additional hours may be offered but not required.

Workers will be paid a minimum of $17.47 per hour. In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.

The employer provides housing at no cost to workers who are not reasonably able to return the same day to their residence. Separate sleeping rooms and bathroom facilities are designated for male and female workers. Family housing is not provided by the employer. H-2A workers who use employer-provided housing at no cost will be offered a wage rate of at least $16.15 per hour, consistent with Michigan's state minimum wage.
