Work involves enforcement, compliance, and interpretation of the Texas Tax Code and related statutes pertaining to the collection of direct and indirect taxes and fees. This job is a position of public trust and requires a high degree of confidentiality in handling all taxpayer records, information, and payments.Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week with occasional evening, weekend hours and holidays. Hours may change based on business need.This position may be eligible for a flexible/hybrid work schedule of 3 in office days and 2 remote workdays once certain conditions are met. Qualifications: Minimum Qualificationsand#183; Graduation from an accredited high school or successful completion of the General Educational Development test (GED).and#183; 2 years full time work experience in a related field to include but not limited to work in accounting, bookkeeping, a call center, clerical/administrative, collections, or record keeping.Preferred Qualificationsand#183; Bachelorand#8217;s degree.and#183; Complete copies of college transcripts must be furnished to the divisional hiring representative at the time of the interview for positions requiring a college degree, and/or specific educational credits.and#183; 2 yearsand#8217; experience in bookkeeping, a call center, or collections.Substitutionsand#183; Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the administrative support or clerical work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with a maximum substitution of two years.Licenses and Certificationsand#183; A valid Texas (or state of residency) driverand#8217;s license and a satisfactory driving record are a condition of employment.
