PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking an F-15 Aircraft Electrical Mechanic II for a position in San Antonio, TX. Job ID#215538.

Position Responsibilities

Perform on-aircraft and off-aircraft electrical modifications to wiring and system components.

Execute complex connector terminations, including shielded wires, coaxial cables, and fiber optic wiring.

Follow detailed wire-handling and routing instructions.

Seal, wrap, bond, tie, and close wire harnesses and cables in accordance with established processes.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements for electrical modification and repair.

Follow government and company procedural guidance for assembly, installation, inspection, wire bundle modification, electrical assemblies, operational checks, and quality verification.

Troubleshoot moderate-difficulty electrical and environmental systems at organizational or depot-level maintenance.

Conduct aircraft bench and/or flight-line operational testing in compliance with DoD, manufacturer, company, and supplier directives.

Install, test, and modify wire bundles during aircraft development and modification programs.

Safely manage tools, equipment, and assigned products.

Coordinate with management and peers to determine best processes and solutions.

Assist and mentor less-experienced electricians.

May lead small teams through complex aircraft tasks.

Prioritize workload to meet schedule and mission requirements.

Perform duties of lower-level Electric classifications as needed.

Interpret work instructions, charts, blueprints, wire diagrams, formulas, sketches, verbal directions, and electronic orders.

Follow all safety and equipment-use procedures.

Diagnose and correct assembly-related electrical malfunctions.

Use precision measurement tools to verify dimensions and quality requirements.

Maintain all required certifications, permits, and training.

Ascend/descend vertical ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift approximately 35 lbs.

Work rotating shifts, with potential overtime, weekends, and holidays to support mission needs.

Follow Hazardous Energy Control (LOTO) procedures to ensure workplace safety.

Assist cross-functional teams (General Mechanics, Structures, Avionics) to meet cost and schedule targets.

Security Clearance Requirement

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

An interim and/or final Secret Clearance post-start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

4+ years of relevant aircraft electrical experience.

4+ years of experience with electrical/electronic theories and systems.

Ability to work rotating shifts (1st & 2nd).

Successful completion of required training (OJT or classroom) is mandatory for continued assignment.

Must comply with San Antonio Tool Control and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) procedures.

Must pass required assessment at end of training cycle.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired)

Experience with depot-level or modification maintenance.

Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, and riding electric elevating equipment.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift ~35 lbs.

Occasional two-person lifts for loads >50 lbs.

Frequent overhead reaching, walking, standing, and balancing on uneven or elevated surfaces.

Occasional climbing on 3-12 ft. stands or ladders.

Ability to sit, crawl, squat, bend/stoop, lie down, or operate foot controls for extended periods.

Exposure to noise and metals.

Must use appropriate PPE (face, eye, ear, hand, arm protection).

Must pass visual acuity and color-perception tests.

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.

Ability to safely handle, use, and dispose of hazardous materials.

Must obtain and maintain all required training and certifications.

Occasional finger manipulation (1-3 hrs).
