Day to Day
The RGF Acceleration team partners with staffing agencies to increase their productivity. We aim to leverage Indeed's HR Technology and machine learning capabilities to match job seekers and jobs.
We are looking for a Software Engineer II with expertise in Backend Engineering w/ matching experience in industry to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate not only with the product managers and other engineers in the team, but also with the partner staffing agencies.
Responsibilities
Design and develop ML/AI flavored systems for temporary job / jobseeker matching
Collaborate with cross-functional team members in an agile, fast-paced environment (ship early, ship often, and iterate)
Join and contribute to product discovery together with the product manager and the counterparts in the staffing agencies
Engage in code reviews, ensuring high standards of code quality and cohesiveness
Work with product managers and project partners to align solutions with business needs
Perform ad hoc exploratory data analysis
Mentor and support team members, driving best practices in software engineering
Skills/Competencies
Masters degree: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
3+ years of direct industry experience as a software engineer using at least one of the popular programming languages: Python, Java, Kotlin, C++, Go, Rust, etc.
Experience in designing, building, and deploying ML-powered matching systems
Effective problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with excellent communication skills
Language proficiency in English
Experience with AWS and Terraform

US Remote 109,000 - 159,000 USD per year
Austin Metro 109,000 -159,000 USD per year
NYC Metro 134,000 - 194,000 USD per year
Scottsdale Metro Area 109,000-159,000 USD per year
Seattle Metro Area 132,000 - 192,000 USD per year
San Francisco Metro Area 140,000 - 204,000 USD per year
Salary Range Disclaimer
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Indeed salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Indeed's total compensation package for employees.
