Summary This position is located in the Office Section of the Facilities Management Service (FMS) at the VA Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center and Clinics, White City, Oregon. The incumbent provides work order support to all departments within the service but especially the Environmental Management Service (EMS). Responsibilities Major duties include, but are not limited to: Providing administrative support for program management for the Veterans Custodial Training Program and the overall EMS program. Monitors and works with EMS supervisors on the status of competency folders, training documents related to safety and sanitation standards, and Veteran timecards. Provides assistance to the Financial Technician for specific EMS timecard completions. Compiles information for various reports as requested by the EMS Environment of Care Supervisor or the Chief of FMS for items related to sanitation, recycling, shredding, the Custodial Program, Etc. Provides specialized credit card procurement support to the EMS Environment of Care Supervisor for furniture, laundry, uniforms, and as back-up support to the Patient Assistance Program (PAP). Works with various EMS supervisors on credit card orders for various associated needs and work order requests related to interior design, uniforms, and a back-up for PAP. Tracking and scheduling station level office moves and set ups for the EMS supervisor and employees. Assists other administrative groups as requested. Assist with timekeeping duties, minutes, agendas, work orders, and other administrative duties. You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-4 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards, uniform, and interior design with regards to procuring supplies and services for the organization; Gathering and compiling data for cost analyses and other reporting purposes; Performing timekeeping duties; Communicating with Veterans and/or customers and answering questions they may have; Working with different software applications to do word processing, work orders, office automation, and credit card reconciliations; Knowledge of government credit card requirements and reconciliation process for successfully completing credit card transactions and staying within the purchasing limitations.
