Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Novato. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in supporting daily accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across various processes. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team and contribute to critical projects.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review journal entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Conduct month-end close activities, including expense reviews and account reconciliations.

Reconcile balance sheets and bank accounts to maintain financial integrity.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and provide detailed financial reporting.

Support audit efforts by generating ad hoc reports and addressing inquiries.

Handle day-to-day accounting tasks and address project needs as delegated by the team.

Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations during system transitions and upgrades.

Requirements

7+ years of overall accounting experience

Expertise in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.

Proficiency with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Workday

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team.
