Role Summary/Purpose:
As the VP, J.CREW Marketing Leader, you will be at the forefront of driving a high-impact, digitally-powered retail credit partnership with Synchrony. Your mission is to lead innovative, data-driven marketing strategies that launch and scale a next-generation retail credit card program within the Lifestyle Business Team.
You'll harness the power of digital channels, customer insights, and cutting-edge marketing technology to optimize acquisition, activation, and engagement in a seamless omnichannel ecosystem. Collaborating closely with our General Manager and cross-functional partners, you'll influence strategic priorities and lead a high-performing marketing team to accelerate growth and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Essential Responsibilities:
Architect and drive agile, digital-first growth plans aligned with client business priorities and integrated marketing calendars
Cultivate senior-level partnerships to co-create innovative campaigns leveraging data, AI, and automation
Maximize marketing ROI by optimizing spend across digital channels, testing scalable growth experiments, and identifying new revenue streams
Segment audiences with precision using customer data and analytics to launch personalized, omni-channel activation and retention programs
Continuously monitor digital trends, competitive moves, and customer feedback to refine our value prop and enhance the customer journey
Lead omnichannel marketing, prioritizing digital assets that deliver personalized, real-time engagement across mobile, online, and emerging platforms
Track, analyze, and report key performance indicators with an emphasis on data transparency and actionable insights to drive growth and profitability
Build, mentor, and inspire a dynamic marketing team that embraces innovation, agility
Evolve and enhance card program val prop, consumer engagement tactics, across all partner owned channels
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 15 years of marketing experience
A minimum of 8 years of marketing experience within the retail industry, credit card or financial services , to include (can be concurrent):
5 years of growth marketing leadership with exposure to consumer-facing programs and products
5 years of experience with digital channels - online and mobile
Ability to travel as needed (~20%)
Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
Desired Characteristics:
Prior experience in the retail industry
Experience developing and delivering financial services products via digital channels
Collaborative style and approach with comfort working in a matrixed, decentralized structure.
Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
Strategic thinking with ability to develop and implement actionable plans to drive business results.
Consumer finance experience and related industry experience. Familiarity with value proposition and/or new product development processes, from concept innovation through go-to-market execution.
Direct marketing experience with both acquisition and loyalty/lifecycle channels.
Proven ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Grade/Level: 13
The salary range for this position is 130,000.00 - 210,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
