Job Description: POSITION: Full-Time Director of Student Recruitment (Director):Admissions & Recruitment; Haverhill (100 Elliot St.) and Lawrence (45 Franklin St.) Campuses; 37.5 hours per week; Non-Unit Professional Position. SUMMARY:Northern Essex Community College is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to assume the Director of Student Recruitment position. Reporting to and working with the Executive Director of Enrollment Management (EDEM), the Director will develop and manage recruitment and yield strategies, lead a team of Recruitment Counselors across both Haverhill and Lawrence campuses and manage on and off-campus activities to create strategic recruitment, outreach and enrollment goals. The Director will bring to this position a deep understanding and appreciation of the role that community college plays in the higher education setting and utilize this in building key relationships with high schools, community groups and prospective student pools. In addition, the Director will bring an understanding of changing student demographics and expertise in recognizing enrollment trends. The Director, in addition to experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, ideally Slate, will have a strong understanding of data in developing and implementing strategies to convert prospects to enrolled students. The Director will collaborate regularly with the Enrollment Operations team as well as part of the larger Enrollment Services team, collaborating with Student Affairs, Academic Affairs, Athletics, Marketing and Communications and Institutional Effectiveness. Maintains knowledge of academic programs, student roadmap, cost of attendance and other pertinent information to assist prospective and new students as they enter the enrollment pipeline. Plans, manages and executes recruitment activities such as open houses, accepted student days, high school visits, community recruitment events, information sessions and other activities that promote the college. Provides our diverse population of prospective students and their families with information detailing the admission process while communicating the mission and culture of NECC. RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Develop and revise as needed a comprehensive plan for recruitment and yield initiatives Develop and implement a 12-month recruitment calendar, measure the success and impact of recruitment initiatives and use data to develop future goals Utilizes Slate CRM to ensure proper management of student information in recruitment process Identify current enrollment trends and develop goals in conjunction with other departments including but not limited to Academic Affairs, Institutional Effectiveness and Student Affairs Leadership Team. Examine trends by program of study, geographic regions, age groups and a variety of other targeted sub-populations; utilizes data to inform enrollment and revenue projections; supports Academic Affairs in program offering decisions Provide direct outreach and recruitment efforts aimed at prospective students including, first-time, transfer, families, counselors and related partnership programs Assist the EDEM in the development of enrollment communication strategies for new students and for continuing students. Work collaboratively with the Executive Director of Enrollment Operations on the continuous improvement of operational efficiencies related to the functions, processes and tasks for newly admitted students Assist the EDEM in creating a marketing communications plan for enrollment Work as a team member with other Enrollment Services managers to ensure seamless onboarding of new students who are entering the enrollment pipeline (Student Roadmap). Works collaboratively with the Testing Center for Student Placement, Student Financial Services, New Student Orientation, and the Center for Accessibility Resources Supervises team members located on both campuses to ensure timely, accurate and efficient development and execution of recruitment efforts, creates performance goals and metrics, and oversees training while identifying and supporting professional development opportunities for staff Serve as a hands-on working member of the team, who can perform their staff's duties, when needed, as well as provide oversight and works non-traditional hours to include nights and weekends when necessary Analyzes marketing and enrollment reports to monitor progress towards enrollment goals and makes data driven decisions to ensure enrollment goals are met Responsible for making new community partnerships within the surrounding areas and promote how NECC could benefit these organizations and services. Solid technical working knowledge of Slate CRM, Ellucian Banner Student Information Management software system, EAB Navigate and ARGOS reporting software strongly preferred Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse, urban population.
