The Director, Portfolio Finance is a key strategic leader responsible for the comprehensive financial management and performance of the assigned portfolio. This role delivers accurate and actionable financial insights that drive both short-term results and long-term value creation across the assigned portfolio. The Director works through team and cross functional business partners to deliver best-in-class strategic planning, financial analysis, and operational support..
This leader proactively identifies risks and opportunities, initiates and executes strategic projects, and partners closely with senior leadership to shape and implement financial strategies that support business growth and operational excellence. As a member of the Commercial Finance Leadership Team, the Director also plays a critical role in influencing enterprise-wide policy, process, and talent decisions, ensuring alignment with the company's broader vision and objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Direct Business Partnering - Craft and provide financial insights for Portfolio Leadership Teams, cross functional partners, as well as Corporate Finance and the Executive Leadership Team; Serve as the primary point of contact for Finance matters within area of responsibility; Lead team to deliver results.
Financial Management Activities - Act as owner of assigned portfolio Financial Strategy, Plans, and Results; Lead development of portfolio financial strategy, building blocks, budget deployment and gap management/contingency planning; Lead profit accountability by creating P&L strategy and plans, measuring performance against objectives, and aligning incentive structures;
Decision Support - Evaluate operating results, approves forecasts, and recommends strategies for improvement; Provide complex financial insights, guidance, and direction for business partners; Interpret major trends and financial performance for internal and external audiences; prepares and delivers recommendations to sponsor committee and board; Provide financial advisory and alignment with Sales, Supply Chain, IBP and other cross functional teams as needed;.
People Performance Management - Direct, lead and develop Finance professional by setting key performance measures aligned with Finance and BU objectives; Recognize and reward performance.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Business
10+ years of relevant experience
Minimum 5+ years in supporting senior leaders
3+ years people management experience
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Proven experience driving process improvement and change initiatives in a complex organization.
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders at all levels.
Advanced analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills; strong detail orientation.
Experience with advanced analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for financial modeling and reporting.
Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and proficiency with ERP/financial planning systems (e.g., SAP).
Excellent executive-level presentation skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree in Finance/Business
Demonstrated excellence in leadership across multiple countries.
Food industry and/or CPG experience.
Deep proficiency with SAP and advanced modeling tools
Experience with digital finance transformation, automation, or AI-driven analytics
Six Sigma, Lean, or APICS certification.
Mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures experience including financial due diligence and integration.
Salary Range: $172,160 - $215,200
Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.
