The Director, Finance - FP&A serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership, driving the financial planning and analysis agenda to enable informed decision-making and maximize business performance. This role provides actionable financial insights, guidance, and recommendations that shape both short-term and long-term strategies. This role is accountable for leading high-performing teams, initiating and executing strategic projects, and proactively identifying opportunities to create value while minimizing risks. As the Director, Finance - FP&A you will ensure robust financial management, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and champion best practices in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting. By leveraging advanced analytics and collaborating across functions, this role supports the achievement of enterprise-wide objectives and enhances the organization's ability to respond to a dynamic business environment.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Financial Insights: Craft and deliver financial insights for the organization
FP&A Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with Functional Leadership Teams and internal Finance teams to deliver results
Profit Accountability: Lead profit accountability by creating P&L plans, measuring performance against objectives, and aligning incentive structures
Analytical Consistency: Develop consistent financial analyses and practices to support improved business decisions, especially in trade investment and promotion planning
Performance Delivery: Own responsibility for the delivery of financial performance objectives for a specific area
Results Evaluation: Evaluate operating results, approve forecasts, and recommend strategies for improvement
Executive Recommendations: Provide complex financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership, interpreting major trends and preparing recommendations
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop teams by setting group and individual KPIs aligned with Finance and organization objectives
Enterprise Reporting: Provide visibility and insights to enterprise-wide financial performance, including consolidation, modeling, target setting, and standardized reporting
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Business
10+ years of relevant experience
3+ years people management experience
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders at all levels.
Advanced analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills; strong detail orientation.
Strong PC skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with advanced financial modeling, scenario planning, and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Excellent leadership skills
Excellent executive-level presentation skills
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Master's Degree in Finance/Business
Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA)
CPG Experience
Experience with digital finance transformation, automation, or AI-driven analytics
Mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures experience including financial due diligence and integration.
Experience supporting Board-level presentations and communications
Salary Range: $172,160 - $215,200
Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.
