Job Title: Site Construction Supervisor

Compensation: $55.00 - $57.00 hourly

System One is currently seeking a Site Construction Supervisor on a 12 month contract position located in Denver, CO.
Site Construction Supervisor Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated onsite leadership, and provide construction insights into project planning, to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality project execution.
Lead daily field supervision, setting priorities and monitoring safety, quality, and schedule performance.
Coordinate vendors and contractors, ensuring alignment on access, logistics, and work sequencing.
Support scheduling, drawing constructability reviews, estimate reviews, site logistics, and other early project planning to improve deliverability.
Manage site logistics, material handling, equipment utilization, and resource readiness.
Oversee quality and safety programs through inspections, briefings, and issue resolution.
Maintain real time communication with project teams and provide clear daily/weekly reporting.
Enhances safety performance and quality assurance.
Reduces delays through proactive issue identification and field driven problem solving.
Strengthens coordination across engineering, project management, and field teams.
Drives more predictable, reliable, and efficient project outcomes.
Supports on-site plant engineering teams when multiple/large projects are happening to ensure adequate on-site coverage and contractor management is in place.
Project Scope Definition: Provide input on overall project goals, deliverables, and timelines.
Design Constructability Reviews: Review milestone design packages (e.g. 30/60/90/IFC) and provide input on feasibility, constructability, drawing detail comments, site logistics.
Estimating Support: Provide input on labor, temporary material/equipment, logistics, access, and phasing needs. Assist in Vendor bid reviews and provide input on Vendor selection.
Site Layout: Plan for material storage, heavy equipment areas, worker facilities, and access routes. This includes temporary offices, parking, and utilities.
Security Measures: Implement the required fencing, surveillance, access control systems, and security personnel if needed to protect materials and equipment.
Health and Safety Setup: Establish safety zones, signage, first-aid stations, and other necessary health-related provisions.
Schedule Reviews: Participate in the development of detailed schedules with critical path tasks and dependencies. Ensure that its accessible to team leads and that everyone is informed of upcoming steps.
Resource Allocation: Assess daily needs for equipment, materials, and workforce. Coordinate with procurement and ensure all necessary resources are on-site, minimizing downtime.
Manage Delays Proactively: If any task falls behind, reallocate resources or adjust schedules promptly. Develop contingency plans for high-risk areas, like weather delays.
Quality Management Plans: Participate in the creation of quality management planning and coordination.
Conduct Routine Quality Checks: Inspect all completed tasks to ensure they meet project specifications and industry standards.
Document and Address Issues: Record any quality concerns in daily reports and ensure that issues are resolved before moving on to the next phase.
Coordinate with QC Engineer: Work closely with the QC engineer to make sure all tests and inspections are scheduled and conducted before commissioning.
Inspection Coordination: Develop high-level Quality Strategy for controlling and assuring the project equipment specific quality inspections are conducted by the manufacturer. The team may perform field audits or surveillance of contractors to verify compliance with contracts.
Approved Inspection & Test Plans: Identify Witness and Hold points and communicate to Contractors, Suppliers, and Project Resources for incorporation into the project schedule.
Non-Conformance Report (NCR): Is utilized to document the identification, tracking, and resolution (including corrective action if required) of an item found to be outside of project design/performance requirements.
Set Daily Priorities: Begin each day with a clear understanding of the tasks and milestones for the day. Hold a brief check-in every morning to discuss tasks, challenges, and goals for the day, safety concerns, and immediate priorities. Include key personnel such as the project manager, site supervisors, QC, trade foremen, etc.
Monitor Progress: Spend time on-site actively observing safety and construction progress, verifying that tasks align with the project schedule and are done to quality standards. Participate in progress meetings and provide insight on areas of safety, risk, quality or schedule issues.
Vendor Coordination Meetings: Participate in alignment on schedules, site access, shared resources, and interdependent tasks. Provide input from field supervision perspective.
Vendor Oversight: Manage vendors/contractors as a field representative. Perform safety and quality inspections, be an on-site liaison between the contractors and Project Team to provide timely communication and problem solving.
Material Delivery Plan Management: Work with PM and coordinate with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered just in time to avoid delays or overstocking. Track material usage to prevent wastage and theft.
On-Site Inventory: Maintain organized storage with a robust inventory tracking system to monitor stock levels and replenish materials as needed.
Equipment Utilization: Schedule equipment usage efficiently to avoid downtime. Ensure regular maintenance and inspections of machinery to prevent breakdowns.
Daily Safety Briefings: Reinforce safety protocols every morning and discuss task-specific hazards. Emphasize PPE, fall protection, electrical safety, and machine operation.
Enforce Strict Safety Standards: Supervise high-risk activities closely and intervene if safety standards are compromised. Ensure that any LOTO procedures for electrical work are strictly followed.
Incident Response Plan: Have a clear protocol for responding to accidents or incidents, including first aid, reporting, and corrective actions.
Real-Time Updates: Maintain an open line of communication with project managers and stakeholders about project status, challenges, and any changes to the schedule.
Regular Team Check-ins: Check in regularly with crew members to address any concerns, clarify instructions, and boost morale.
Conflict Resolution: Address any disputes or issues among the team promptly to maintain a collaborative work environment. Be a go-to person for resolving crew concerns.
Daily Logs: Maintain accurate daily logs of on-site activities, resource usage, delays, and safety incidents. This helps track progress and provides data for future projects.
Weekly Progress Reports: Summarize achievements, any deviations from the schedule, and upcoming milestones. Share these with project management and stakeholders.
Quality and Safety Documentation: Record inspection results, quality assurance data, and safety compliance to ensure all documentation is complete for commissioning and regulatory needs.
Site Construction Supervisor Requirements:
5-20 years construction experience
Background in utilities or industrial construction required
