Job Title: Construction ManagerJob Description

The primary role of a Construction Manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities in various fields such as engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product rollout.

Responsibilities

Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to achieve goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.

Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, overseeing the development and maintenance of staff competence.

Analyze technology resource needs and market demand to plan and assess project feasibility.

Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.

Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.

Manage and oversee contracted construction activities on-site daily.

Essential Skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.

Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, P6 Primavera, etc.

Ability to oversee and manage general contractors, subcontractors, and sub-tier trades, ensuring timely project completion and recommending mitigations as needed.

Understanding of the construction design process, including RFIs, submittals, and change requests.

Project safety oversight, aiming for a Total Recordable Injury Rate of 0.2, with a goal of zero recordables and zero safety incidents.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

Experience in overseeing large civil projects, including land clearing and preparation for building construction activities.

PMI or PMP certification preferred.

10 years of experience required.

OSHA 30-hour training.

Work Environment

The position is onsite, full-time, focused on land development in Aurora, CO.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Greenwood Village, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $74.00 - $84.00/hr.
