Position Description

The Low Voltage and Fiber Optic Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage wiring systems, access control devices, security cameras, and fiber optics. This role involves reading and interpreting construction plans, as well as the ability to work in dynamic and collaborative environments.

Key Responsibilities

Perform the installation of data cables and other low voltage wiring systems.

Splice and fuse fiber optic cables using advanced techniques.

Install and configure security cameras and access control systems.

Diagnose and resolve issues related to low voltage cabling.

Read and interpret construction plans for accurate system installations.

Maintain effective communication with the operations team and clients.

Travel within the United States to perform installations and provide technical support at various locations.

Lead client meetings, presentations, and status updates, providing clear communication and actionable insights.

**Job Requirements

Education**:

5 years of technical training or previous experience in Fiber Optic Installations, Networks installations or similar roles is preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related discipline.

A minimum of 10 years of professional experience.

Work Experience:

Previous experience in installing low voltage cabling and fiber optics.

Experience in installing and configuring security and access control systems.

Technical and Specific Skills:

Knowledge of fiber optic splicing and handling specialized tools.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Proficiency in diagnosing and solving technical issues efficiently.

Expertise in installing and maintaining low voltage systems.

Work Conditions:

Availability to travel within the United States.
