Build the Infrastructure That Powers America

We're looking for a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) who's ready to take the lead on complex, high-impact projects in the midstream natural gas industry.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll design and engineer natural gas piping systems and compressor/metering stations that keep energy moving safely and reliably across the country-all while working 100% remotely.

What You'll Do

Lead from Concept to Completion

Own mechanical engineering scope across the full project lifecycle-from early feasibility through construction support and closeout.

Design with Purpose and Precision

Develop calculations, specifications, and drawings that meet industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements for pipeline and facilities projects.

Be a Technical Leader

Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior engineers and designers, elevating team performance and engineering quality.

Drive Project Success

Partner closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to define scope, manage schedules and budgets, and resolve technical challenges.

Manage Risk & Reliability

Perform feasibility studies, decommissioning evaluations, and risk assessments to ensure safe, compliant designs.

Interface with Vendors & Clients

Review vendor proposals and technical submittals, respond to technical inquiries, and support approvals with clients and regulatory agencies.

Collaborate & Innovate

Participate in design reviews, HAZOP/HAZID sessions, and project meetings to continuously improve safety, quality, and efficiency.

What You Bring

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)

8+ years of mechanical or project engineering experience in the oil & gas industry

Strong experience with pipeline facilities, compressor stations, and metering stations

Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor, CADWorx, P&ID, and Navisworks

Nice to Have

Consulting or EPC experience

Deep familiarity with midstream facilities and regulatory environments

Work Environment

100% Remote (Eastern or Central Time Zones preferred)

Occasional travel to project sites as needed

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $85.00/hr.
