In this role, you will take ownership of complex accounting functions, including account reconciliations, business tax reporting, managing the general ledger, and supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports. Duties/Responsibilities:

· Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.

· Prepare journal entries monthly.

· Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.

· Compute gross receipts and sales taxes owed and prepares tax return, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting or other tax requirements.

· Research new tax liabilities for new locations and projects.

· Maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.

· Reconcile job cost to the general ledger monthly.

· Prepare weekly cash reports for Treasury (estimates and actuals).

· Prepare personal property tax reports.

· Track and monitor fixed assets and make sure assets comply with policy.

· Prepare monthly bank reconciliations

· Post AR Cash Receipts

· Record daily banking transfers.

· Set up wire transfers.

· Assist with timely responses to positive pay exceptions.

· Assist with audit request

· Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, franchisees, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Requirements

· B.S. in accounting and five (5) years' of direct professional corporate accounting experience with emphasis on the above detailed responsibilities/areas (G/L, GAAP understanding, recons, tax, audit, month and year-end, budgeting-actuals, Etc.)

· Broadly applied software including Microsoft Office Suite, advanced knowledge using Microsoft Excel, experience is a must.

· Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priority

· Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills

· Ability to meet stringent deadlines and provide reports on a timely basis

· Ability to work independently

· Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
