Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Pittsburg, California. This role requires an individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in handling financial transactions. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.

Responsibilities:

Verify and process vendor invoices with precision, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Conduct three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents to uphold accuracy.

Address and resolve vendor and customer inquiries efficiently by collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

Review and process employee travel and expense reimbursements in a timely manner.

Reconcile monthly vendor and customer statements, investigating and correcting discrepancies as needed.

Maintain proper general ledger coding for invoices and expense reports through careful analysis and recording.

Set up and update vendor and customer profiles, ensuring all information is complete and accurate, including tax compliance documentation.

Generate and distribute customer invoices promptly while tracking and recording incoming payments.

Perform account reconciliations and resolve billing disputes or discrepancies with vendors and customers.

Support month-end close activities and assist with reporting tasks as required. Requirements - A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles, with expertise in accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and SAP.

Strong data entry skills and attention to detail for accurate invoice processing.

Familiarity with general ledger functions and financial reconciliations.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing deadlines.

Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams.

Knowledge of W-9 and 1099 compliance requirements for tax reporting.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information securely.
