Description

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Rye Brook, New York. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to manage high-volume invoice processing while maintaining vendor records and ensuring accuracy in payments. The role is fully on-site and requires a candidate with strong expertise in AP processes and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices efficiently using QuickBooks Online and JP Morgan Chase banking platform.

Manage a monthly volume of 200-300 invoices, primarily recurring, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Complete check runs and electronic payments, adhering to established procedures.

Review and code credit card expense reports, ensuring proper classification of associated costs.

Perform basic accounts payable ledger reconciliations to ensure alignment with the general ledger.

Maintain and update vendor records, including adding new vendors as needed.

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for all AP activities.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any invoice discrepancies or payment issues.

Provide support during audits by preparing and organizing AP documentation as required.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable roles.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or similar AP systems.

Strong understanding of the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice processing and payment management.

Familiarity with high-volume AP environments, managing 200-300 invoices monthly.

Experience with coding invoices and reconciling credit card expenses.

Ability to perform ledger account reconciliations and ensure alignment with the general ledger.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with vendors and internal teams.
